In order to fulfill the long cherished desire of the people of Vatakara for an English Medium School, imparting quality education to their children, the BMA Education Society ventured to their children, the Vidyaprakash Public School. The School is located on the Vellard Hills, 7 km east of Vatakara Town, overlooking enviously magnificent sylvan scenery. It would elevate the mind of anyone who had an occasion to set foot on the school campus.
The school foundation stone was laid by then Hon. Minister for Education Mr.K.Chandrasekharan on 1-11-90 at a function presided over by Retd.Chief justice Sri.V.P.Gopalan Nambiar. The N.O.C. from the Kerala Government was obtained on 5-5-92 and formal recognition by the CBSE, New Delhi was obtained with retrospective effect on 27-5-93.
The School imparts education from LKG to Senior Secondary level. The School is co-educational with residential facilities for boys and girls. Computer education is provided from UKG to X std. To foster the talents of the students, special arrangements are made for imparting instruction in Music, Dance, Painting, Yoga, Club activities, Gym, Field Trips, Sports and Games.
The school provides two drinks & lunch even to the nonresident members of the school community. Day scholars are free to bring their own lunch from home.
